STUDIO SET UP/ CAMERA

I took my front cover image in a studio which was set up in a classroom, against a white screen and there was studio lighting and light reflectors, which enhanced my two model's features and allowed the canon SLR camera to focus.  The lighting also created a mood and atmosphere and having used the light studio lighting it allowed me to control and manipulate light correctly in order to get the correct vibrancy of colour and distribute shadows and highlights correctly.
Whereas, my other images were taken outside in order to add interest to my magazine and for my images to be different from the ones I had previously taken.

BLOGGING

I created a blogger account when I began the project ,which is a blog-publishing service. It allowed me to upload all my  planning ideas onto from research to sketches to final magazine outcomes (front cover, contents page and double spread page) in an organised and neat style.
I used different online presentation
platforms to display my work for additional interest such as Prezzi, Powtoon, Slides and Voicethread.

PHOTOSHOP

Photoshop allowed me to create my actual magazine and allowed me to put my images, text and background into one for a final outcome. To begin with I struggled to use the web design however, after experimenting and time I was able to use the different tools to create creative and pleasing visual outcomes. It gave me a blank canvas which I could experiment on and create anything possible.

INTERNET

The internet played a vital role throughout my project as it enabled me to research other magazines and become inspired. It also allowed me to gain ideas such as logos, images, fonts, colour schemes and other magazine conventions which I would then use on my magazine allowing it to look professional.
I was also able to research into my chosen genre and have a greater understanding about the history, development and growth of grime in addition to a variety of grime artist, allowing the content within my magazine to be suitable to my genre.
