PRELIM

For our prelim we were able to get experience of using the camera, Final Cut Pro and garage band.  We had a short amount of time to plan film and edit. We were given a storyboard where we could plan each of our scenes which made it easier for us to film. We just had to keep referring to our storyboard when filming. We were giving a tutorial on how to use Final Cut Pro. This helped us to gain the skills. We got to experiment with lots of different edits. I learnt to to add filters how to layer how to add fade ins.

PRE- PRODUCTION

For our pre production we had to come up with a storyline before anything. It took my group a while to come up with a story line. When we finally came up with a story line w created a story board of scenes that we edited quite a lot. We began with deciding that we want to do a narrative because that is what most teen dramas do. We did interviews about what teens look for in a title sequence. We created a survey to find out what teens actually want.

PRODUCTION

During our production process we made a schedule on where and when we would be filming. We began at summers house and did every scene we needed to do at her house. We didn't film in order and we tried to make sure that our camera skills and angles were looking professional. We then went to the canal to do the scenes we needed there. It was difficult for us because we went on a day where it was really bad weather. We had to make sure that we didn't actually break or damage it. As we were in public we had to make sure no members of the public were in our shots and we had to make sure we didn't disturb anyone.

POST PRODUCTION

After filming we began our editing our title sequence. As a group we had to a lot of scenes to go through because we wanted to have a wider choice of genes to choose from. Editing went on for a long time. During this process we decided that we didn't like the idea of doing a narrative title sequence. We chose to change it to decretive. This allows us to to make our scenes not go in order. We made a rough cut and uploaded it to the blog. We interviewed people and got feedback which we used to improve our rough cut when making our final.

PRELIM

Our prelim brief was to create a shot scene where we displayed, a person opening the door and going through it. This would be an example of shot reverse shot. We also had to film a conversations and this would show the skill of the 180 degree rule.

Title sequence

With the skills that we gained from creating our prelim we tried to incorporate this into our title sequence as well. We were unable to use shot reverse shot because there was no conversations in our title sequence. We used the 180 degree rule.
