What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product?

The camera was probably our most important tool. We learnt about the preparation of the camera before use, such as making sure it's in focus, that it's on manual mode and that the lens cover is taken off

This piece of technology was used all throughout the filming stages of our film production. We did also use a fig rig for some close up shots and we used a tripod to make sure our shots were steady and smooth.

We didn't encounter any problems with the camera and we made sure to be careful with it especially covering it when it rained.

The cameras' stabilising handle was useful especially for our "shoplifters welcome" scene as we were able to smoothly transition the focus from the characters to the graffiti

We used GarageBand to try and create a soundtrack for our movie, however this proved to be unsuccessful and didn't work well with our footage.

We also searched for instrumentals of songs we thought would suit our film and edited it in GarageBand by adding our own beat to it for example.

We used Final Cut Pro to put all of our footage together and piece the final film.

I found using the program quite difficult at first because it was very technical, we somehow separated the sound from the footage; the sound was needed because it effectively worked with our film and we didn't want to just have music over the whole film.

It helped that the Macbooks we were using had three screens, we could see which footage was imported, what the final version looked like and the most important in the middle, the timeline of our footage and sound that could be precisely cut and edited.

We used Motion to create our titles. It was interesting to use because there were many templates to choose from but we didn't want to go for the most popular choice, we wanted to keep our quite simple but unique.

Our titles were over moving image and we were able to use our own choice of font which matched the font we used on our blog (Urbana) to stick to a theme throughout our work.
