Previous Students Music Video.

The title of the song

I personally liked the way group 23 presented the title of their song. This appealed to me because it stood out, the colours they had chosen went really well together. I think it also went with the theme of the rest of the music video as the font of the writing is in graffiti and later on in the song we see that there is lots of graffiti in the background on the music video.

The use of props.

The use of a graffiti-ed rose on the wall turning into a real rose was a very interesting. I would personally use this in my own video as it shows they were thinking outside of the box and weren't afraid to try new ideas. They managed to make it look realistic and cut each shot and edit it together perfectly.

Colour Correction

I think the feature of different colours in the music video was a great idea as it makes it clear that it is a music video. It also keeps the audience entertained and gives them new things to focus on and look at. I personally like this because I think they use of black and white in a video makes a video look much more intense.

Different Locations

I think the use of different locations in a music video is very important. All of these shots are base tracks in different places. I think changing the locations in a music video is very important because it keeps the viewer interested. It also shows that as a media student you have taken time to think of suitable locations and put effort into getting the right shots and putting it together.
