What's The Matter?
By Gianni
The cycle of matter is an action of the changing of substances for example solid turns into a liquid by melting and a gas to liquid is called condensation.
A solid to a liquid is called melting. Melting is when the molecules start to loose their form for example if you leave a ice block in the sun for a while it will start melting into water.
The process of a liquid turning into a gas is called evaporation. For example when you boil water in the kettle it creates steam.
Turning a gas into a liquid is called condensation. Condensation is an action when the gas gets cold and starts to stick together to form a shape.
A liquid to a solid is called freezing. Freezing is when the molecules have fully stuck together to make a definite shape and size. For example if you put water in a cup and put it in the freezer it should turn into ice.
a gas to a solid is called deposition. Deposition is something really cold. For example when its winter the air is all frosty which freezes the gas making frost on the grass.
A solid to a gas is called sublimation . Sublimation is something that is really warm. For example when dry ice is that cold that steam starts coming out of it.
This is an example of the molecules
A reversible substance is something that can be burnt or frozen and still be able to turn back into your original self. Another reversible substance would be fire. Solid would be magma, liquid would be lava and gas would be fire.
One of the many irreversible substances are plastic. This is irreversible because once its melted it cant change back, it just turns into smoke.

Step 3: Put soap on cotton bud.
Step 4: Place cotton bud ( with the soap on it) in the centre of the bowl where the dye is.
