2019 Student Video Gaming League
Spring Series
Similar to other traditional school sports, the IGL Student Gaming League strives toward providing students with a fun, competitive, and rewarding eSports experience. Schools & organizations can benefit not only by raising money for their programs but also by reaching students that might not be interested in typical extracurricular activities. Encouraging scholastic engagement through video games, schools and organizations can raise educational motivation using grade incentives. This would be done by obtaining certain GPA requirements before being allowed play. There are many different IGL Foundation Scholarship opportunities throughout the Student League season.
What is Student eSports
Student League Teams
The student eSports League best sport comparison would be Track. A sport where multiple styles of competitions divided up into about ten different games or events in race for team points. Each of our tournaments encompasses different genres of video gaming all picked by the students and organizations. Students can compete in any of the individual games, wherein prizes and points will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th place winners. Points accumulated will go towards the students and the team that each individual student is representing.
There is no limit to how many students can compete from their school and organization, or how many games a student can compete in. At the end of the season, these points are added up, and the school and organization with the most points will not only win trophies and prizes, the IGL Foundation will make a donation to the winning school and organization geared toward helping their existing non-profit programs during the NOLA Gaming Festival this June 8-10, 2018.

Spring Series Tournaments & Events
There will be a series of multiple tournaments both online and offline at participating schools as our programs location at Noble Minds School 2nd floor 1333 South Carrollton.
The Majors are high-point driven League events. League teams have the opportunity to earn the most points possible before the championship.
League Rankings
League Points are issued through our custom website platform (Eezers) based on performance of all tournaments played throughout the season. Points are also issued to 1st-5th place finishers of all tournaments. The ranking system is maintained throughout the season using the amount of points each player accumulates from all tournaments.
