Album name and tracklist

Album name

As a group we first decided to name the album 'Integrity' but we felt as though Potential would be better because it is the name of the song that we created a music video to. In addition, it is conventional of artists from our genre to name their album after a track that is featured on their album. This can be seen in Wretch 32's 'Black and white' album as well as Skepta's 'Doin' It Again album. I like the name Potential for the album because it can also have a hidden meaning of the album having the potential to make it into the UK chart List, the potential to in sell hundreds of thousands and the potential to make S.Dot a well known UK Rap artist.

As you can see, the album names are also the name of one of the artists songs that is also featured within the album.

Tracklist

  1. Potential ft. J (hit song)
  2. Doin' It Again
  3. Bae
  4. Morals
  5. Fell Apart ft. J
  6. Honest
  7. Take Time
  8. Control That

I came up with the tracklists by looking at other artists (of the same genre) album tracklists and adding some of them to our album as well as creating my own that would fit in with the kind of content that UK Rap artists normally make music about. We decided that there should be 8 songs because our artist is only just starting out and it's conventional for upcoming artists to have less than 10 songs on their first album because it is almost used as an introduction into who the artist is and what their music is about. We want to keep our audience interested and hooked on for more content so we decided on a lower number of songs rather than 13 or 16 songs that are more common for popular and more established artists such as Drake.

On Drake's 'Nothing Was the Same' album he has a total of 16 songs on the normal version alone

This is the chosen font for the trackless of my ancillary product. I think that this is suitable because it is simple, bold and easy to read.

This is the chosen font for the album name and the artist name. I have made them the same font because it looks good together on the digipak and it has been done on Wretch 32's 'Black and White album.
