Who would be the audience for your media product?
Due to 'The obsession' being a film in the Thriller genre, we can instantly cross young children off of our target audience list. However, it will definitely include older teenagers, who are planning on discovering new emotions, including the suspense and fear of a Thriller film.

Both genders are welcome to watch our film and there isn't a certain gender specified but it is more common for men to watch Thriller films.
When first planning our film we wanted it to look as though it was Ethan who was the antagonist but as the filming unravelled it began to look like it was in fact Riley who was the antagonist, the beauty of our opening is it doesn't show who the true villain is and it will encourage male and female viewers to watch the film, as they will both relate.
We took a look at the BBFC age classifications and learnt that our film was an 18. Although the opening doesn't show much violence, the scene where Ethan grabs Riley suggests that there could be violence throughout the film.
When thinking about the rating and if it will effect our target audience we decided to think about the amount of violence that will be presented therefore we rated our film a 15, even thou our target audience is 18-25 year olds we will still allow people aged 15 to view the film.
