Question 3: What kind of media institution might distribute your media product and why?
Production company
For this, we created our own distribution ident called 'Horizon Productions'. The company we would compare ours to is 'big talk productions' as they are also a small and independent production company, and make films for bbc and also have a professional touch. Some of the films they distribute are; Shaun of the Dead, World's End, Attack the Block, and Scott Pilgrim vs The World. All these films are quite comedy based but also have a touch of thriller, it isn't anything completely horror or action, because it is a small company with a smaller audience.

Distributor
Our distributor was one that already existed, Candi Media. This also is a small distributor that specialises in distributing small films with smaller audiences. A distributor that Candi's one can be compared to is Studio Canal, mainly because of its independence and small size. If it is a European distributor, it could gain more public attention and could possibly be watched by a wider audience rather than just UK audiences. Studio Canal also owns the worlds 3rd most largest film library which makes thrillers/crime/mystery/adventure more popular and likely to be distributed by this company.

Future Releases
The movie will be shown as a restricted local release, in the art house cinema 'Screen on the Green', in Islington Green, with feedback at the end on Feb 1st 2016.
After the release, the media product will be available on digital media: vimeo, which was made for film makers to submit their work to. This will be a good way to get our film to our target audience.
They will then be available on a CD, so that it is even easier for us to reach our target audience, and even more of a wider audience, maybe older, as it isn't only available to watch online.
