Blogger has been the diary of our entire process in making out thriller teaser trailer. For example, blogger has been with us every step of the way and given us a way to log all our progress. On each of our blogs you can see that we have created pages dedicated to the 'production' and 'post production' of our trailers.

Blogger allows members in our group to view photos and documents of each others work. This allowed us to re use their images and information.

Google has been the go to place to find all the images that we have needed throughout our research and planning. When looking for poster on current films we used Google to help us get a better idea of what thriller posters are like. Furthermore, we researched films that currently existed, to help us get a better idea of a story line that could help us come up with ours.

Microsoft helped us in the making of our documents which included our planning research and evaluation. For example, i used PowerPoint as the template in creating the moldboard for our film.

Wordle was useful to us in a small way as we used it to create a word cloud full of thriller conventions. It was useful as it was a creative way in presenting key words for thriller conventions. It was our first time using wordle and we found it simple yet effective and help us use a different media platform

Scribd is a software engine which allows us to transfer documents from Microsoft Office onto our blogs.  Scribd was really useful to us when we were planning our trailer as it made our work in a professional manner. It was not our first time using scribd so with that it was easy to use the website and transfer the documents onto our blogs.

CommingSoon.net was used for our research with current Thriller films existing. It was our first time using CommingSoon.net and we found it really useful to us as it allowed us to view the whole media campaign. This meant, for example, we were able to view the teaser trailer and poster of the James Cameron film, Inception.

PhotoShop has been very useful to us in creating the campaign for our film as we used the software to edit the original image adding contrast and lowering the brightness. This gave the poster a more edgy look as it became a more bolder image. We also changed the color of the sky to a more grey effect to link with the thriller genre. It was our first time using photoshop and we felt it made our teaser poster that little better, with that we feel we will be using this software in the future.

Paint Shop Pro was only used in the production of our poster. We used it to crop and align certain aspects of our image and to add the titles onto the poster. As it was not the first time we used Paint Shop Pro we knew how to find our way through the software and make our poster look the best it could be.

We used the website Ribbet in the final production our magazine cover and our teaser poster. We used it by creating the pugs, the cover lines and adding effects to the main image. It was our fist time using Ribbet and with that we felt it was very useful as it made creating the poster and magazine cover easier.

Adobe Premier pro is a program which allowed us to put the shots of our film together and make our trailer. It allowed us to rearrange shots and put them in an order that we wanted. Due to us using this software last year for AS level media it was fairly straight forward in what we were doing. In one scene we had to speed up shots to make the trailer have a faster pace. This took us some time to figure out how to do but we then figured out what we had to do and this made the trailer better.

YouTube was very important in the research for thriller trailers. Every chance we had we would search videos of past thrillers trailers so that we could have an idea of what our trailer should look like.

We also had to use YouTube when uploading our trailer to our blogs. this was an easy process as we had doe so in AS level last year. YouTube was the most helpful kind of research which helped us picture what our trailer might look like so it would of been difficult without it.

Wikipedia was a way that we could find out the back ground information on older films. for example we could search up a film and then find out who the distributor was. this gave us an idea of what distributor would be best for our film.

We found Wikipedia very useful as it was a way to find relevant information about the films background information.

Windows Media Player was a way for us to listen to many different soundtracks for our trailer. Sound was key for us and windows media player worked perfectly and was very straight forward in how to use. Windows was another program that we had already used in AS so we found it easy in using it.

Survey Monkey is a program that we used to help us recieve feedback on our trailer. it was our first time using the program and we found it difficult at times, as it was hard to get the questionnaires to our fellow student as we couldn't understand how we should get them to fill out the survey. whether it should be through a link we send them or print out the sheets they could fill out. after we overcame this problem we then found it easy as making the questions was no problem. We would definitely use this program again as we now know how to use it and we found it a creative way in getting our target audience to answer the questions.

Slides was a program which we used in our evaluation. We found it easy to use and we found it a creative way in presenting one of the questions for the evaluation. As it was our first time using the software we found it a more useful way to present a powerpoint and will be using it again.
