This video was a group from the 2014-15 A2 media students. This was a hip-hop song by Krept and Konan ft. Ari but was performed by Emmanuel, Yuksel and Joshua and was filmed by Ariadna.
Video 2
This video is also from a group of 2014-15 A2 media students. This was a much slower rhymed song. I am not sure who the original artist was but the song was performed by Thaomy, Tahmina and Nawd.
My Favorite previous student videos
Video 1
I liked the urban, rural locations in which they filmed as it related to the genre of music and the audience would recognise this immediately.
Video 2
This group's location/setting also helped to create an idea for the audience about genre as it was also quite rural with lots of plants and wasteland.
What I liked about the videos
Rural and urban areas help to identify genre type.
Video 1
I enjoyed the group's use of the Laura Mulvey theory. The artist was dressed appropriately for the type of genre of music which helps connect with the audience better. They match the genre of music well with the dark urban clothing such as tracksuits, hates and trainers.
Video 2
This video used clothing that wasn't particularly understandable to me but it was creative and they still used the Mulvey theory as lots of planning went into costumes and this helped it blend with the genre.
What I liked about the videos
Video 1
This video is a type of illustration which I liked because the lyrics link to their video which is about death and family and friends who have passed away.
Video 2
This video is an Amplification because it talks about not wanting someone but the video also has additional meanings and themes which I enjoyed and this helps make the audience think more.
The video may be given off new ideas such as a man freed from a women's curse (mask).
The graveyard setting along with the flowers and his sad facial expressions show the video's illustration.
