Editing Process

Obvious Editing: Slow Motion

We used slow motion in different places in our music video. We used slow motion when filming the base tracks with all three artists. Also, we used it in the mini base tracks for different artists; in 'Bobby's' part, when he is talking to his dads grave and in 'Brix's' part, when he is in his counselling session. To do this, we changes the camera format to filming 50fps, when filming the slow motion parts.

Close ups

We used close ups in a variety of places through the whole music video. For example, as 'Bobby' talks to his dads grave, and when our singer does his mini base track.

Jump Cuts

We will be using jump cuts towards the beginning of the music video. When 'Bobby' is walking towards the grave. He is walking a lot, so jump cutting it will make it look better as well as saving time.

Editing in time with the rhythm.

Using markers and the cutting tool on Final Cut Pro, will allow us to edit in time with the beat of the song.
