But Reagan's record is full of "bad votes."

With that in mind -- and in an effort to be absolutely fair, rather than to "cherry-pick" a vote or two -- I picked 10 more Bad Votes from Reagan's record.

During a recent debate, Michele Reagan characterized her vote for SB1062 -- the infamous right to discriminate bill -- as a "bad vote" that had been "cherry picked" from her record.

#1: The Interfering with Federal Officers Bill

HB 2434 required federal agents to check with local sheriffs before enforcing federal law in their county. No sheriff supported the bill and neither did the governor.

#2: The Coming to the Defense of Payday Lenders Bill

After Arizona voted to kick payday lenders out of our state, Michele Reagan supported bringing predatory payday lenders to back to Arizona. Reagan claimed people "enjoyed" the service. Since then, Reagan has taken thousands of dollars from lobbyists of the payday lending industry.

#3: The Gold and Silver as Legal Tender Bill

Respected economists on both sides think changing our currency to accept gold and silver as legal tender would be disastrous to Arizona's economy and future growth.

Glenn Beck thinks it's a good idea, and so apparently does Michele Reagan.

#4: The Birther Bill

Michele Reagan actually joined this guy...

...to ask this question:

Our outgoing Secretary of State wasted state time and resources chasing the "birther" conspiracy. Do we want to elect a new Secretary of State who would do the same?

#5: The Ending the Registration of Charities Bill

One of the few ways Arizona had to prevent fraud by supposed charities was to force them to register with the Secretary of State. That way, consumers could at least look up whether the group was legit before donating money.

Michele Reagan's vote to repeal the registration requirement not only exposed Arizonans to scam artists, it also created an opening for Dark Money. There is now even less transparency from these "charity" groups that serve as fronts for anonymous corporate cash.

#6: The Voter Suppression Bill

Michele Reagan authored a bill that would have scrubbed thousands of Independents off the Permanent Early Voter List. HB2305 put such tough restrictions on third party candidates that it effectively would have eliminated every candidate

without an (R) or (D) next to their name.

The bill also threatened the right of citizens to bring an initiative. Under pressure from Independent voters, Reagan later voted to repeal her own legislation.

#7: The Ban Marriage Equality Bill

Long before she "celebrated equality," Michele Reagan voted against it. In 2008, at the behest of the ultra right-wing Center for Arizona Policy, Reagan voted to put a proposition on the ballot amending Arizona's constitution to ban same-sex marriage.

While I applaud her progression on the issue of equality, Reagan's inconsistency raises further questions about her ability to govern fairly.

#8: The Let Your Boss Deny Access to Birth Control Bill

For Michele Reagan, your birth control is your boss' business.

#9: The Light Bulb Bill

In an attempt to pick a fight with the federal government, at the expense of the taxpayers, Michele Reagan supported HB 2337, a bill that would have brought back the low-efficiency incandescent light bulb.  Wasting power to make a political point?

#10: The Unannounced Inspections Bill

Michele Reagan supported a bill authorizing the state to make unannounced inspections of women's health care facilities.

Opponents of the bill predicted such a law would lead to harassment of women.
