Stage: Vocabulary presentation

Aim: To present the target vocabulary of the lesson (My room, prepositions)

Click forward to reveal phrases with the prepositions related to "My room" one by one then introduce them to your students. Say each phrase with a gesture and a movement:

in the box - take a box and pretend you are putting something into it;

on the table - tap the table and emphasize ON;

next to the chair - take a box and show it is very close to the chair;

under the table - tap the table and point to the floor and say UNDER (*you can also show a box and say "under the box").

Encourage your learners to repeat each word and gesture. Listen to their pronunciation and help them if they struggle.

Play the audio and encourage your students to listen and repeat.

Afterwards, optionally play a mime game. Show a gesture and have the students say the phrases with the corresponding prepositions. Switch roles - have the students show a gesture and the teacher says the phrase.
