This music video made by other students received an A grade and you can see why it deserved it. I believe the video genre was narrative and performance, although it was hard to follow the story line and you had to use Barthes theory to decode what was going on. The music was in the pop/rock genre and the lyrics weren't portrayed within the video, going against Goodwin's rules, although the video did show similar characteristics of a rock video from the violence and dark lighting.
This video was very creative to watch because of the cinematography. There was a constant change in angles, framing, shots and movement. All the editing and MES was appropriate to the genre of music and storyline. The only negative thing about this video is that the lip syncing wasn't always perfected, especially at the beginning of the video.
This original music video is more simple but effective. Although there is a lack of good editing, cinematography and Editing somehow this video is good. To make it better I would have got rid of the drunk scenes and kept the lake and boxing scenes and used more alternative and different cinematography and editing techniques. The costume, lighting and acting is good and follows a music video that suits the genre of performance and image.
This video does support Goodwins rules. There is a relationship between the lyrics and visuals, it mentions the sunshine and there are many shots that include this.
I believe the video genre was narrative and performance, you could clearly see this because of the two different locations being the manor house and the plane hanger. Both were random and didn't relate but you were able to see the contrast between both. The music was in the rap/rock genre and the lyrics weren't portrayed within the video, going against Goodwin's rules.
This video was very creative to watch because of the editing. There was an array of different techniques used, from filters, shot changes and even the telephones. The only negative thing about this video is that the storyline was not very clear and it was hard to fully understand as to what was going on.
