DH proper

DH as a discipline/field of study – 'fag'
problems that transcend traditional disciplines
fundamental solution approaches for research questions in humanities disciplines
not limited to concrete questions, but focus on general principles and transferrable solutions

Digital X

sum of 'old' and 'new' disciplines transformed by digital media and methods
paradigmatic changes or transformations = 'computer…X' or 'X…informatics'
DH as individually transformed humanities disciplines

X with DH

DH approaches and practices mainly (or solely) apply to the methodological-practical part of an individual discipline
DH as 'methods' in traditional disciplines, broadening the methods canon and set of available tools
