TARGET AUDIENCE PROFILE  

WHO IS MY TARGET AUDIENCE ?

My magazine will focus on the genre Bollywood film music so my target audience will obviously be people who listen to Bollywood music. The target audience are  women adults, women typically 15-25, students and graduates who have a significant disposable income and time rich. They are typically Indian however there are some other race who would like the genre. Most likely to be Indians who live in America or England.the would be working class.People who like Bollywood films, music and shows are the main target audience. The ethnicity of my audience is Asian and some others as Bollywood music’s are mostly liked by Asian people especially Indians. However some other races may also like Bollywood songs. They work full time (the women probably have their own little hair salon or jewellery shop around Bethnal green area).My audience are very fashionable and like lots of colours and jewelleries. The women wear colourful clothing like red, wear bright makeup like red lipstick and also have long hair (mostly black long soft hair).My target audience listens to old Hindi music’s and watch old Bollywood movies. Some of their favourite artists being Shahrukh khan and Sidharth Malhotra .my target audience like to have fun and like Indian dance. Some of them use social network such as Tumblr and Instagram to upload their night out photographs. Their house is probably colourful and crowded most of the time. So I will make my magazine colourful. In their free time they would go shopping, they would also go out with friend and have fun. My target audience’s lifestyle choice is very healthy. I can include health life style advises like diet or exercise to draw my audience's attention. I can also include and new Indian hair style page to increase the sale rate of the magazines. I can also add makeup, traditional Indian fashion and beauty advises. My target audiences like to wear heavy makeup and very colourful sparkling traditional clothes so I ll make sure to include that on my front page. 

DEMOGRAPHIC

  • my media product is aimed at people/ women from the age of 15 to 25, usually students and graduates who have significant disposable income and time rich
  • According to Maslow's hierarchy of needs, our target audience would be  the explorer, the aspirer and the mainstream
  • According to the NRS social grade, they would be typically be in the C2 skilled working class and manual working section. However, some are in the 'D' section which is- working class, semi and unskilled manual workers
  • Some may not have a great amount of disposable income and may live off their parents' money
  • Typically  Indians/ Asians however, there are some other ethnic groups
  • They love to have family celebrations and attend to weeding ceremonies.
