Custom Color Aims & Tolerances

  • Select "References" Tab
  • Select "Color Aims" @ the top
  • Select "global" bookmark above Color Aims list
  • Select a Color Aim from the list
  • See the full details in the same format as in Measurement Results

Maxwell makes it easy to select your own color aimpoint and customize the tolerances for grading

First, Color Aims:

Custom Color Aims & Tolerances

  • Select "Reference" Tab
  • Select "Reference Sets" @ the top
  • Select a RefSet from the list
    • Note the "Scanning Rules" tab
  • Select an individual Metric in the sidebar
    • Note the type, units, tolerances, etc

Maxwell uses Reference Sets to bundle together Color Aims, Metrics, Tolerances and other scanning instructions

Getting Notified

  • Select any account, device or track  (see overview)
  • Roll your mouse over the detail pane and look for the icon
  • Click the icon

Maxwell Notifiers will send you and your group emails when measurements fail tolerances or are overdue

Getting Notified

  • click  + Create Notifier
  • select the Trigger (type of event) you want Maxwell to use to fire a Notifier
  • Maxwell will send Notifier emails to your account's email address
  • You can add additional email addresses for Maxwell to use as well

Color Instrument Handling

  • Automatic Instrument Registration
    • Plug an instrument into the Maxwell Client and it's automatically registered with its own Maxwell device record
  • Details in measurements
    • Each measurement taken in the Maxwell Client is linked to the instrument used and all of its settings at the time (up to 20 parameters)

Color instruments make color management possible. We manage instruments throughout the measurement process

Color Instrument Handling

  • Controlling from Reference Sets
    • Maxwell's defaults align instruments with color aims and you can also create strict requirements, ensuring specific filters and settings are used when needed
  • MeasureWatch Verify Service
    • Enables you to take periodic health-check measurements of your instruments and notifies you if anything is amiss

    • View details of pass/fail results
    • Note the failure value vs tolerances
  • TargetView tab
    • Heatmap view shows target delta-E errors
    • Channel view shows the distribution of errors per ink channel
  • Patches tab
    • Notice the 'Aim' and 'Sample' color patches
    • Notice the overall delta-E value column
    • Patches can be sorted by any color

Measurements in Maxwell Client contain extended reporting in "Details"
