Vertical Bi-Lites

Vertical Bi-Lite Systems (VBL)

The Vertical Bi-Lite is a vertical window component which combines with a Keylite Roof Window to produce an attractive glazing feature and maximise the levels of light and natural ventilation in any room.

 

The vertical element can be supplied in Single, Double or Triple configurations. The pitched roof element is supplied and installed the same as any standard roof window.

 

Vertical Bi-Lite systems are covered for 10 years under guarantee.

Features

The Bottom Vertical Element is available as:

  • 600mm Tilt Only
  • 950mm Tilt Only or Tilt & Turn

Keylite manufacture and supply all associated external roof flashing components, including the bespoke ‘U-Pipe’ that runs between the vertical windows & roof windows.

Building Control must be consulted prior to installation.

Vertical Bi-Lite Systems (VBL)

Roof Windows

Roof windows must be specified separately for the complete system. Vertical Bi-Lites can be supplied with any sized Centre Pivot or Top Hung Roof Windows.

Available with solar or electrically operating Centre Pivot Roof Windows.

The spacing between the Roof Windows within a Vertical Bi-Lite system is always 18mm.

The system is only suitable for a roof between 20-55°

Dormer Apex System (DRX)

This system opens up the opportunity for a unique fresh air experience. Available in configurations of four or six windows, the Keylite Dormer can be made even more practical with the selection of electric or solar powered options.

 

Keylite Dormer Systems are covered for 10 Years under guarantee.

Dormer Apex System (DRX)

Features

The system is provided complete with:

  • Fully insulated Keylite Dormer frame work
  • All associated flashing components
  • Colour matched internal decorative trims

The system is only suitable for a roof between 35-70°.

 

Building Control must be consulted prior to installation.

Dormer Apex System (DRX)

Roof Windows

The Keylite Dormer Kit only refers to the framework, flashings  and decorative trims.

Roof windows must be specified separately for the complete system. Available with solar or electrically operating Roof Windows.

 

Keylite recommend all Domer Apex Systems are to be supplied with Hi-Therm glazing units.

Not all roof window sizes are suitable for our Dormer Apex System. The roof windows installed cannot exceed 940mm in width and 1180mm in height.

Ridge Window System (RG)

Ridge Roof Windows can be installed along the roof ridge to maximise light and space at the highest point of the pitched ceiling. Ideal for both domestic and commercial applications.

 

Keylite’s unique system ensures the roof windows do not break the ridge line, creating a more streamlined look when fully installed.

 

Ridge window systems are covered for 10 years under guarantee.

Ridge Window System (RG)

Features

The system refers to the specialised flashing required to install the windows for this application.

 

The roof windows are not included and must be priced separately. The system is suitable for both Centre Pivot windows only.

 

Keylite recommend all Ridge Window Systems are to be installed with Hi-Therm glazing units.

 

Suitable for a roof pitch between 15-75º.

Installation

The installation of Keylite Ridge Windows is very similar to a standard roof window installation.

 

The roof windows must be positioned in a way to avoid the sashes colliding when they are opened.

 

Windows that are installed in excess of 280mm from the roofs ridge can be fitted using standard Keylite flashing kits.

Ridge Window System (RG)

Installation

Keylite recommend installing the window so that the top of the frame is between 1.85 and 2.2 meters above the floor for ease of operation.

 

For applications about 2.2 meters Keylite recommend electrical operating roof windows are installed with Hi-Therm glazing units.
