PPE

Anyone who enters the warehouse or the yard is required to wear hi-vis at all times.

Anyone who enters the warehouse and will be leaving the designated pathways will be required to also wear protective footwear.

All warehouse and workshop operatives are required to wear both at all times, and it will be issued to them as their “uniform”.

Spare hi-vis and safety shoes for other staff or visitors who will be entering the warehouse can be obtained from the reception.

PPE

DSE

As part of the induction all new employees who will be using display screen equipment  daily as part of their work, continuously for an hour or more, must complete a DSE Self Assessment Form.

These DSE Self Assessments Forms will be issued by, and must also be returned to, the SHEQ Co-ordinator.

Incorrect use of DSE or poorly setup workstations or work environments can lead to pain in the joints and back, as well as fatigue and eye strain.

Therefore it is vital that these assessments are completed to ensure if there are any risks, steps can be taken to reduce or eliminate them.
