Sunlite Systems

What is a Sunlite?

A Keylite Sunlite transports natural daylight into areas where conventional roof windows cannot be used. The highly reflective light tube enables daylight to travel from the roof to an interior space deprived of natural light.

Sunlite Systems are available to suit pitched or flat roof applications.

Pitched Roof Sunlites are provided with sufficient tubing to satisfy a 2 meters between the roof and ceiling level. Flat Roof Sunlites are supplied with 800mm of tubing as standard. Additional tube extensions are available to purchase upon request.

Rigid System

Rigid System (SLRS)

Our Rigid System can be used for installations up to 2m in length. This system is made using a hard wearing, mirror finished, polished aluminium tube which achieves 98% reflectivity.

Compared to our Keylite Flexi System, our Rigid Sunlite delivers high efficiency luminance with little light transition lost, however the versatility of this system is restricted.

Flexi System

Flexi System (SLFS)

Our Flexi System can also be used for installations up to 2m in length. With 86% reflectivity, the Flexi System is less effective than the Rigid Light Tube System but offers a more flexible solution.

This Sunlite is able to avoid obstructions such as roof trusses in the attic space. Increased versatility, reduced efficiency.

Pitched Roof Systems

Pitched Rigid System (SLRS)

Rigid systems are made up different components in comparison to our Flexi system.

Upper Ring

The upper ring contains slotted cut out which connect the bayonet fixings into the roof parts.

Angle Adaptor

The angle adaptor allows the angle of the tube to be altered. This can be to adjust the roof pitch or to move the tube ‘off centre’.

Lower Ring

This component is used to fill the gap between the last rigid tube length, angle adaptor and ceiling parts.

Pitched Flexi System (SLFS)

Our Pitched Sunlite Systems are suitable for a roof pitch between 15-60º. Flexi systems are made up of three respective components.

Roof Parts

Our systems include pre-assembled roof fittings that come ready to be installed.

Ceiling Parts

This includes a frame which is fixed to the finished ceiling. A ring is used to lock the Flexi system into position and our double glazed diffuser system is magnetically connected to the frame.

Intermediate Parts

The component which joins our roof and ceiling parts together.

Flat Roof System

Flat Roof Sunlite (SLRSF)

Our Flat Roof Sunlite Systems are suitable for a roof pitch between 0-15º.

However we do not offer a Flexi application on our a Flat Roof Sunlite due the reduced light performance levels.

The Keylite Sunlite Flat Roof System and comes complete with the following:

Pre-Insulated Timber Up Stand
All associated Flat Roof Flashings required to complete the installation.

Sunlite Systems are available in a range of diameters to suit any living space below. The choice of either a flexible or rigid structure allows adaptable installation within the roof.

Accessories

Circular Fluorescent Lamp

All of our Sunlite Systems can include an inbuilt fluorescent lamp. This can be wired up to a wall mounted transformer switch and deliver light when there is no daylight present. This saves the requirement of an additional light fitting within the ceiling.

Extension Tube

Extension tubes are available if the system is required to span further than 2 metres in length. A disclaimer is to be signed prior to purchase in order to inform the customer the performance of the system may be affected when tube is extended. (Flexi System only)
