On a very hot day, almost 90° F, I decided to leave my apartment and experience nature in the open air. I brought bottles of water and tangerines to cool off. I enjoyed alongside my children, and they will be moments to remember.
En un día con mucho calor casi a 90° F decidí salir de mi apartamento y tener contacto con la naturaleza al aire libre. Lleve botellas de agua y mandarinas para refrescarnos. Disfrute al lado de mis niños y serán momentos para recordar.

It's 3:55 p.m. and 89 degrees outside. In an effort to keep our second-floor condo cool and minimize use of our central air, I've got the shades drawn in my bedroom where I'm currently doing some work, while my kids mostly play quietly in another room.
Son las 3:55 pm y 89 grados afuera. En un esfuerzo por mantener fresco nuestro condominio en el segundo piso y minimizar el uso de nuestro aire central, tengo las cortinas cerradas en mi cuarto donde actualmente estoy trabajando, mientras que mis hijos juegan en silencio en otro cuarto.

This week we visited the Cremin Playground located in Somerville – a bit of a humid Wednesday. It is a small park with a few splash features. The only thing is that it’s more like a place for the people who live around it. There have been already 3 times that I visit, but there is always a certain feeling of racism on the part of those who visit. A lot of Americans arrive and nannies who likewise make an uncomfortable environment. Unfortunately.
Esta semana visitamos el parque Cremin Playground ubicado en Somerville - un miércoles con un poco de humedad. Es un parque pequeño con unos chorritos. Lo único es que parece más un lugar para las personas que viven a su alrededor. Y ya son 3 ocasiones que lo visito pero siempre se siente cierto racismo de parte de los que visitan. Llegan mucho americano y nannies que al igual hacen un ambiente poco incómodo. Lamentablemente.

I bike commute from Somerville to my job in Kenmore, which gets very warm in the summer. I keep packages of face and body wipes in the fridge (one pack at work and one at home). Using one after a sweaty ride is the most refreshing feeling, no AC required!
Viajo en bicicleta desde Somerville a mi trabajo en Kenmore, que hace mucho calor en el verano. Guardo paquetes de toallitas para el rostro y el cuerpo en la nevera (un paquete en el trabajo y otro en casa). Usar uno después de un viaje sudoroso es la sensación más refrescante, ¡no requiere aire acondicionado!

Me encanta mucho estar contemplando el agua y la brisa. Siempre llevo fruta para comer y agua con hielo, que no me faltan. Para mantenerme fresca uso ropa mas ligera. A veces me baño dos veces al día. Salgo mucho a las tiendas. Lo hago para sentirme fresco. Me voy a restaurantes aunque sea a comer algo sencillo pero disfruto del aire del restaurante.
I love to be contemplating the water and the breeze. I always bring fruit to eat and ice water, which I don't lack. To keep cool I wear lighter clothes. Sometimes I bathe twice a day. I go out to the stores a lot. I do it to walk in the cool air. I go to restaurants even to eat something simple but I enjoy the restaurant’s air conditioning.

I enjoy nature and the sunset. After being locked up for three months, this helps me. I cool myself with the fresh air that comes off the water. The sunset is very relaxing. I enjoy coming here everyday and sitting under the trees. To sleep well at night, I pour water on my head or I sleep with damp pajamas. I always keep cold water in the fridge. I drink a lot of water.
Disfruto la naturaleza y la puesta del sol. Después de estar tres meses encerrados, esto me ayuda. Me refresco con ese aire fresco que sale del agua. La puesta del sol es muy relajante. Disfruto viniendo aquí diario y sentarme bajo los arboles. Para poder dormir bien por las noches me hecho agua en la cabeza o duermo con la pijama húmeda. Siempre mantengo agua fría en la nevera. Tomo mucha agua.

Esta foto de mi hijo en la piscina es dentro de mi casa en un día muy caluroso. Por la emergencia de la pandemia, no se puede salir a areas publicas. Y en nuestro complejo de apartamentos no se puede poner fuera, porque no tengo acceso al agua en la parte de zona verde.
