Copernicos O3
The first UV satalliite
UV range 900-3150 A
The first satellite to observe targets other than the Sun at UV wavelengths was OAO-3, also called Copernicus, launched in 1972-1978. OAO-3 could observe the 95–300 nm spectral region with a resolution 𝑅=𝜆/Δ𝜆≈20,000 (Rogerson et al. 1973) by scanning the spectrum with a single channel photometer.

HST
HST 30 years
The first generation FUV and NUV spectrograph, initially called the Goddard High-Resolution Spectrograph (GHRS) and later renamed the HRS,
The second generation spectrograph on HST, the Space Telescope Imaging Spectrograph (STIS)
Placed on HST in 1999, STIS was operated until an electrical failure in 2004, and then refurbished by on-orbit replacements of its electronics in 2009.
The Cosmic Origins Spectrograph (COS), the third generation UV spectrograph on HST was designed to obtain the highest possible throughput at moderate spectral resolution, 𝑅≈18,000
