The release of pollutants to air, soil and water is “an unavoidable consequence of waste incineration”- despite the adoption of pollution abatement measures. It calls for more emphasis on recycling, reuse and waste prevention to avoid use of incineration.

Going forward, Sheila's air quality sensor feeds her data into 'Citi-SENSE' - the EU project for citizen driven sensor data. Based on the data, the UK moves away from waste incineration to recycling (FIX)
