Features
First, you will need to go to https://sway.office.com/
The website should look like this
You will need to click on get started
Then log in with your full school email address and password
When you have logged in you should arrive here
You can click on "Create New" to open up a new presentation
From here you should add a title to your Sway. Your title should be "E-Safety Presentation.
When you click on the 'plus' icon at the bottom of your Sway, you should see a menu of the different items you can add to your Sway. Clicking on image will add an image card to your sway
This will open a menu on the right where you can search for images using the circled search bar, or upload an image from your computer.
When you have found an image that you like, you can click and drag it into your Sway, dropping it into the circled area.
Next, add in a text card to your Sway. Then, write in some text relating to the picture you just added in.
Once you have added in your text, click on the tick boxes in the bottom right corners of the image and the text, then press group, circled in red.
This will group them both onto the same slide.
You can click on 'Design' to see how your presentation will look.
Don't forget to click back on 'Storyline' to carry on editing your Sway.
While here, you can click on Styles in the top right corner as change the style from Horizontal to Slides.
This Styles tab also allows you to change the font colour and size.
When you click on the 'plus' sign this time, you need to click on media, then you can add a video.
Again, you can use the search bar to find a video relating to your topic, then click and drag the video into your Sway.
Don't forget the purpose of your presentation!
Adding a GIF is the same as adding in an image, except this time search for a GIF and it will play as soon as it is displayed on the slide. You may have to do a google search for one and copy/paste it into your Sway.
For each image and gif, you can change the focus point of the image. This will change how much of the photo is shown on the slide. You can even set the entire image as important, which will display the whole image on the slide.
Remember to use the Rubric on Google Classroom to make sure you have met the criteria. This is not the assessment but this criteria should apply to all presentations you make.
In your OneNote notebooks, you should write down what you have learned in todays lesson, and then answer the 3 questions below.
