CAPTURED STILLS

CANARY WHARF

I recently organised a date to film my two actors at Canary Wharf, in London. From shooting with the couple I captured some footage which I am overall pleased with and will use for my music video. After reviewing the footage I have taken stills which represent the successful shots and takes.
The first shots that I captured, include my two actors standing in front of the Tiffany Store. The blue light of the Tiffany store adds to the mundane dull effect of my music video. The light of the bill board reflects from the actor's face to portray his secret thoughts and feelings. I have used close up shots, and over the shoulder shots to connote an emotional connection with the character and the audience. The shot gives the impression that the audience is the third person, and therefor, experiencing the narrative along beside the charcaters in the music video.

I captured shots of my two actors together using long shot. I feel that this shot clearly dennotes the relationship between the two actors as it presents that they posses an intimate connection. This is easily shown by the physical contact between the two actors.
I like how the harsh blue lighting of the Tiffany Billboard creates a silhouette effect, outlining the body language of my actors, which contribute to the mise en scene.

Here I have used another long shot of my actors to present the relationship of the characters. The grey, black and white colours of the location setting connote the atmosphere between the two characters. Grey and black connotes feelings of dullness and solitude. Effectively the colour of the location reflect the emotions possessed by the characters themselves.
This specific location is appropriate, as it mirrors the mundane atmosphere, and contributes to the feelings of the audience . In technical concerns, the lighting and spacing helps to make the image of the footage easy to capture by the naked eye. The lighting of this location will make my music video appear legitimate and professional. Whilst capturing this footage I had to take into account how I would ensure that the lighting of the music video was suitable.

CLOSE UP SHOTS
Here are some of the close shots that I have captured in the duration of my filming. The shots portray how the character is feeling. In this case the close up shots present the boredom of the characters and their isolation from one another. The characters are not looking into the camera to connote their feelings of seclusion and depression.
The shot focuses on the characters eyes, as a main focal point. I feel that the facial expression of the characters present their feelings, which enables the audience to feel a sense of empathy

This shot presents how the characters respond to one another emotionally. I have used photography techniques such as shallow depth of field to establish the location of the train with out using an establishing shot.

Both actors are included in this frame, to present the intimacy. The plain lighting of the train allows the image t be clear and visible with out a grainy effect. I have taken shots from different angles, this will attract my target audiene, due to the variation of shots allows a wider perspective.
