THE PRODUCTION AND DISTRIBUTION COMPANY

Our distribution company is called ' MODERN DAY PICTURES'. The distribution company we chose was also a small independent movie company however it had a lot of connections with cinemas and film festivals. The cost for the distribution of our movie was higher than the production company however they promised us that the movie will be shown at a film festival on the 30th of march then a pre-view of our movie been shown at picture house cinemas in London. It will be free for students and OAP holders as they can tell their friends about the movie before it has been released to the cinemas. Modern Day pictures also promised us that our teen movie will be shown in 80 independent cinemas in the UK and more if there's positive feed backs from audiences from the film festivals and from the cinema's that had a pre-view of our movie. This makes me feel more confident about the distribution of our movie as I believe that it is a good movie and will be released into at least 80 independent cinemas but more if viewers enjoy it.
Production Company
We picked 'CANDI PRODUCTIONS' as it is a smaller independent company that is based in London than other major companies such as 'Dream Works' that is based in California so it cost us less as we didn't have a high budget. Also using Candi productions meant that we had more control over the teen movie as other major companies limit on handling the movie and what we want done.
We also picked this company as it is based in the UK and we believe that our teen movie will be a great hit as it is set in the UK and is about crime and romance.
Candi Productions has also played a very important role in the production of many films which has been UKs top hit teen movies for a long time. This includes Bein G, Don't mess with me and Sorry! This inspired us to pick this small independent company as it is has a lot of benefits which include a low budget and high quality production.
