Audience feedback is key when it comes to producing a product at which is created for the wants and needs of a specified target. It's important that asking questions and receiving feedback is constant throughout the products development to ensure that is created to perfection for the specific target.
In order to gain feedback I used a number of ways to ensure peoples voices were being heard, for example, surveys, questionnaires, social media and physical communication.
But, before starting to produce my digipak, music advert and music video, I planned out a set of questions that would help me decide what my target was going to be and what genre of music i was going to focus all three of my products on.
One way of collecting feedback was through a website called 'surveymonkey.com'. This allowed me to design a survey with my own questions and either open answers or selective answers. The reason I chose to use optional answers because I felt it would help me round up all my feedback and identify the most popular age and genre to focus all my products on.
I handed my survey out to twenty people in order to gain a variety of answers/ feedback.
These are the results I collected from my online survey. I handed out the survey to ten boys and ten girls to make it fair. The majority of people I asked were in the age range 19-21, I decided to range my target audience from 16-19 as I being 18 as well as Deejay wanted to relate with audience and include our own ideas to all the products. The most popular chosen genres were r&b and pop which is what decided with genre we were going to conform with. Overall, although we didn't use all the feedback from our survey to help decide our age target, it was useful in helping us decide what genre to use and what people were expecting from all three products.
