How I determined that my products were suitable for distribution (Part of Evaluation Question Four)

My Digipak and Poster

Using surveynuts.com to gain audience feedback for my ancillary texts proved to be extremely useful. It allowed me to determine whether these products were complete and ready to be uploaded to my blog. After looking through the survey results, I was certain that my poster was of a high enough standard to publish, as many of the responses to the question 'What do you like about the poster?' commented on how my work was of professional quality and advertised the product well.

My Digipak and Poster

The results to the survey that I created using surveynuts.com also showed me that my digipak was successful- 100% of respondents agreed that my digipak linked to my poster and music video. Using this website to make a survey and being able to view responses in a clear way really helped me to evaluate the standard of my work through audience feedback. The feedback to the question below enabled me to decide that my digipak was of good quality and fit well with my other products, meaning that it was successful enough to publish on my blog.

My Music Video

I also used surveynuts.com to gain audience feedback on my main product: my music video. The only criticisms were that the shots used in the chorus of the video were slightly repetitive, however, as Bailey and I were unable to go out and film any more clips, I was unable to respond to this feedback. As this was the only suggestion for improvement to our video, we decided that it was of good enough quality to publish without making any drastic changes. Many respondents also said that they wouldn't change anything about our video, which reinforced our decision not to edit it too much after receiving this feedback.

My Music Video

To present our music video, we uploaded it to YouTube. This allowed me to share it with friends and family, and to find out whether they thought it looked professional and ready to potentially distribute. Everybody I asked told me that it looked like a real world media product, which was great to hear and meant that we had made the right decision in choosing to upload the video as it was.
