Scott Galloway Music Video Analyses 

During the Music video, there were a lot of close ups of the artist. This makes the audience feel as if she is actually singing to them giving the video a more personal feel.

Another convention to the music video is the loose frame around the artist whilst she is partying. This highlights how the artist is spreading the 'happiness' and 'excitement' she is feeling whilst having fun at the party. This draws the audience in as they want to feel the excitement too.

During the music video, the artist wears a brightly coloured dress. The contrasting colours on the dress combined with the style of the outfit creates a sense of sex appeal towards the artist. This is typical of a conventional pop music video and portrays the artist as an object not a person.

 

Also during the video, once the artist had changed into the new, brightly coloured outfit her preformence went from shy and closed to happy and flamboyant. This demonstrated that she has been unleashed from her shell and is enjoying the 'new her'. 

  

In the music video, the titles at the beginning of the music video are yellow. The colour of the titles create connotations of happiness and excitement which highlights the message of the music video, (which its to have fun and be happy).

  

Also during the music video, the use of the montage editing of the artist and the other people at the party dancing creates a sense of excitement and enjoyment. This makes the audience feel happy and excited when watching everyone dance as it 'shared the enjoyment' to the viewer as well.
