WELDING TECHNOLOGY

  • This Associate of Applied Science Degree program can be completed in 18 months.
  • The Welding Technology program is designed to fuse the technological, professional and technical skills necessary to ensure our graduates are competent welders.   
  • This program offers students relevant general education, business and technology courses, blueprint reading and a complete series of skills development in welding.
  • Students will develop skills in Fillet (F) Groove (G) Welding, and Metal Arc Shield Welding. Students will also learn MIG/TIG components of more advanced welding techniques for pipe welding.

WELDING TECHNOLOGY

  • Students will use hand-welding or flame-cutting equipment to weld or join metal components or to fill holes, indentations, or seams of fabricated metal products.  
  • Certifications
    • Students get their OSHA 10 certificate (Safety) and may become members of the AWS (American Welding Society).

VETERINARY ASSISTING

  • The program is designed to prepare students for entry level employment as an assistant to a Veterinarian or Veterinarian Technician.
  • The program will provide students with a foundation of knowledge in ethics and law, animal anatomy and physiology, medical terminology, and animal care activities.
  • Students will learn to keep medical and imaging records, offer client education, assist with nursing duties, prepare for surgeries, and assist in a routine exam.
  • Students will learn to perform a diverse variety of tasks in customer/client services and education; front desk and clerical responsibilities; preparation of exam rooms; and assisting in areas of filling scripts, setting up lab work, and assisting with nursing and animal care.
