Ontological reality exists
Epistemology is logical, and leads to truths that exist outside ourselves
The mind is a clean slate, ready to learn
Knowledge is transmitted orally and verbally according to hierarchy of teacher/wise one to student/clean slate
Ontological reality may not exist, or anyway it's so far beyond us we might as well not worry about it
Absolute truth is either nonexistent or unattainable; knowledge is always in process, never perfected; there are no unassailable truths
Knowledge is acquired recursively and cognitively: through reflection on the combination of sensory inputs and prior knowledge
Passive learning doesn't work; it's a process of discovery and the construction of "mental models"
