Mostly positive responses! Mentioning that people love helping proggers and paying it forward
Negative responses revolved around scheduling
not being scheduled enough
our late notice scheduling system
How are you feeling about Ulit Project so far?
Survey!
Also mostly positive responses! Many mentions of how fun every squad is and how helpers enjoy the people they play with
Minor criticism on jokes and silliness, but nothing serious and the levity is generally seen as a good thing
How do you feel about your squad dynamic?
Survey!
Almost universal agreement that helpers want to play for multiple squads and meet new people
How do you feel about helping squads outside of the ones you regularly play for?
This made me extremely happy, since I personally felt this was a major issue in past seasons (6.5 and 7.0)
Survey!
Not being scheduled enough
Drawbacks of c42s over c41s
Proggers not "deserving" clears (usually when it comes to damage numbers)
Job comp restrictions
Taking proggers more than once within a 1-2 week span
Anything about Ulti Project you see can improve?
I've put a lot of thought about all of these problems, some since amost a year ago
They are much more difficult to address than it may seem on the surface
Any help finding solutions is appreciated!
s5 FRU has one of our best active/inactive ratios
s4 Legacy (6.5) had ~100 helpers, maybe 60 were active
s5 FRU has ~50 helpers, and 40+ can easily be considered active
scheduling is hard
coordinators can do better when rotating/standardizing who comes on what days
Not being scheduled enough
Consistent performances (causing as few wipes as possible)
Ease of scheduling (can you do 2+ full-days with a squad without caveats?)
Flexing within your own role
Who will most likely be scheduled?
Things that don't matter as much
Flexing outside of your main role
Giga pumping (majority of our helpers pump in the top 20%)
We've gotten into a habit of mostly scheduling two proggers at a time
This seems a bit better for prog parties, but maybe not so great for clear parties?
Disparities in preparedness is sometimes noticeable
Amount of cleared proggers is higher, at the cost of individual party success rate
C42s have a lower risk of "body dragging"
c41 vs c42
Goal here is simple
have a cushion for helper error
allow proggers to play non-meta jobs
Job/comp restrictions
Squad A will take progger, progger does bad, Squad B takes progger again (and sometimes Squad C after that)
Mostly a logistical oversight, but also a scheduling convenience
This is something coordinators could be better about
We run so efficiently, the majority of proggers on the "clear-ready" list (at least 90%+) get contacted by a coordinator
Re-taking proggers
This is not a new problem, it has always existed
Many proggers play extremely safe in p5, at the cost of their damage
How responsible are we for making sure our proggers are ready outside of UP?
Proggers not "deserving" clears
Closing procedure
Helpers will get the "Retired Helper" role
We'll actually remember to keep a channel for it this time so people can network
Squads channels will stay open a few more weeks until we are ready to reset for the next season (prob week 2 Savage)
We'll most likely run a mini legacy season, and do little if any Savage clears (but we are open to a Savage clear squad if anybody is interested in running that)
