Examples of film posters, from films with a similar narrative to ours...

The largest item on every poster is the title of the film. The next largest is often the actors names, particularly if they are famous and therefore a USP. On the posters for Gone baby Gone and Taken, the next largest items are a tagline and a review. 

All of the posters have a picture of the protagonist as the main image, often with a scenic background to provide location. 

Any extra information such as production company, websites and release dates are at the bottom of each poster.  

​The colour of the posters reflect the film. For example the white and red colours of taken are classic and organised, like the crime, and the warm blue and brown from Broadchurch reflects the typically British seaside that the series is set in.
