What Are We Even Talking About?

Simple housings with light source internally, but no batteries or AC power connections.

Could utilize integrated LED or a lamp head and selectable lamp source

Always have to connect to some other emergency light device with some caveats to the selection

Remote Lamps

Different from simple unitary products with lamps

Different from traditional combo exit signs/emergency lights

This is one of the most asked industry questions according to Google.

Exit Sign to Combo Conversions

Not all aesthetics have a dedicated combo option

Low voltage, integrated LED heads can be mounted near the device or on the other side of a doorway

Generally the power levels are going to be limited here

Useful for local or highly targeted emergency illumination

Increased Coverage for Industrial Lights

Metal unitary lamps are flexible in terms of the voltage and battery capacity that they have

Fewer larger batteries are better than more smaller batteries

Fewer points of maintenance and replacement

Fewer enclosures, fewer chargers, fewer parts

Still not as good as an inverter, but likely serves different applications

Inexpensive Wet Location Solution

Useful in situations where you already have lights inside but need outdoor egress lighting

Instead of paying to waterproof the battery and AC connections, just waterproof the LED!

The indoor emergency light doesn't need to have a NEMA/IP rating, only the lamp needs to carry it

Also means you don't have to do a dedicated test outside

II. ISOLITE OFFERING

Exit Signs

Our offering today is somewhat limited here...

Exit signs that support this application will have the "EB" option

Not all "EB" are remote capacity, it also means "Extended Runtime"

The cutsheet will describe the use of EB

Exit Signs are power-limited, so they use the "smaller" remote heads:

II. ISOLITE OFFERING

Other Emergency Lights

In some of our architectural emergency lights, we offer the "EB" option like we do in exit signs:

RL2LED

BUG

These have the same limitations as the exit signs in terms of power handling capabilities, so the the same lamp head limits exist

II. ISOLITE OFFERING

Focus on LED Lamps/Lamp Heads

We've removed all non-LED lamps from the cutsheets

ISOLITE

You can still get other lamp types and we'll quote them for you, but we think that's the wrong way

The LED lamps are more expensive but they're 6-7X more efficient for battery size

Increasing the battery size is more expensive than reducing the load on the battery

Also reduces the long term maintenance for the job since the LEDs have very long lifespans

III. SALES & MARKETING

Recent Streamlining of Offering

Recently we've discontinued some less-often used lamp heads:
