Example of a SMART goal:

I will select an online TypeScript course and complete it during H1 2023 so that I can understand the needs of our developer audience.

  • In conversation with a manager
  • Can set out a quarterly 30/60/90 plan
  • Can be ongoing in nature
I want to do at least 3 PR reviews per week in order to support my team.
  • Can also be more long-term
I want to develop more insight into this product area by taking these specific steps.

How to use work goals

  • Is this motivating me?
  • Am I moving towards achieving this?
  • Do I need to seek out
    help or mentorship?
  • Celebrate your wins!
