Chosen Sub Genres

For our chosen plot for the short horror film, we believe it links to the psychological and thriller aspects of horror.
This links with the psychological sub genre due to the sounds used which are significant in this aspect. These includes sounds like hearing things such as whispers and voices, thinking that something is there but nothing is. This can relate to paranoia and anxiety in the character and for the audience's feeling throughout. This is due to the character's feeling of being followed. Our adapted ideas will link into the conventional features of these sub genres. An example of this is having the main character being dragged by an paranormal entity which links into the conventional psychological aspect of horror. Creating a short horror film with elements of suspense and unexptected events will link into the conventions of thriller. In addition, the plot idea can link to the horror sub genre of thriller as the characters that die could suffer a painful and bloody death.
