I never thought I'd be working in tech at all

I wanted to be a writer

I did an Arts degree

My first "real job" was as an editor

I'm creative

I love solving puzzles

I'm a good communicator

I pay attention to the details

I love learning stuff

And I really care about changing the world

I thought that tech wasn't for me

Turns out, tech is more than just maths and computers

Creative, hungry, detail-driven, passionate puzzle-solvers are needed

Diverse teams make better products

Lots of people in tech aren't formally trained

Technology is a tool

We use it to solve problems for people

What's more creative than that?
