My Trip To London

My name is Bailey Tuss and I am traveling to London. This is a trip for one person with a budget of $3,000 =3

Why would i go?

I always wanted to visit London so my mind said, "Hey! Why not?" I've heard that the scenery was nice and I just really like the look of it. I Chose to go on May 19 to May 22, 2015. That is 3 days and 2 nights.

Weather

From the 19th to the 22nd the weather will be sunny with a few clouds. Hopefully no rain, but if rain does occur I will have to stay put.

Clothes

Since the weather is going to be nice I have decided to take some shorts and tank tops. Just in case the weather changes, I will bring some jeans and a few long sleeve shirts. Possibly a coat or a light jacket. I already own these items.

The Distance

Since I am flying internationally, amount of miles (round trip) is 7,986.

Transportation

I chose to fly on the plane Virgin Atlantic, the price (round trip) came to a total of $434.30. This price and flight is more than enough convenience.

Lodging & Food

I will be staying at the Presidential Apartments-Kensington. The reason for this pick is because it includes breakfast and is a bit cheaper. The totally cost comes to $595. The other options were the Corinthia and The Millennium. The Corinthia was $2,784 (total) and The Millennium was $747 (total), these were a bit more expensive so I chose Kensington.

Since I am staying in an apartment, I will get some food from the Borough Market. I also chose a few sit down restaurants. Rock Star Sushi and Holy Smoke are the sit down restaurants. My food budget is $40, but I doubt I will use all of that.

transportation while staying

I am staying near the heart of London so I don't need a lot of transportation, but if I use any transportation it will be a taxi or bus. The maximum taxi fee I will use is $22 and for the bus fee I will pay a maximum of $10. I will probably use the taxi more because I can hop in and hop out faster than the bus.

Activities

I want to visit London's National History Museum, I'm not a big fan of museums, but this one really turned my head. I want to see Big Ben, I don't want to take a tour I just want to look at it. Of corse I have to do some shopping! My shopping budget is no more than $150.

These activities won't cost much because both Big Ben and The Museum are free :). The only thing that will really cost money would be shopping and that won't be much either. I don't plan on blowing all my money. I think I will buy some dresses when I go shopping.

Itinerary

When I wake up I will have some breakfast, I will eat the food I bought at the market. After that I will probably get ready to go out. I'm gonna visit London's National History Museum and spend most of the day there. After that I will need to eat dinner, I will probably eat at the Sushi restaurant I found. Once that is over I'm gonna go back to my hotel room. The next day I plan on seeing Big Ben in the afternoon. I'm gonna go shopping and walk around London. After that I'll go back to the hotel and make dinner.

In COnclusion

The cost $1,344.3. I stayed well within the budget and the dollar difference is $1655.7, keep in mind this is all in euros and not U.S.D. I only used the '$' sign because there isn't a different sign. Since I under budgeted I will use the extra money for snacks or my next trip. If I ever got the chance to go to London I would definitely go!
