Narrative Based

Music Video can be divided into three categories:-

• Narrative Based

• Performance Based

• Conceptual Based

In a Music Video, Narrative is primarily the process of conmveying a story or a tale by structuring the elements in such a way that they make it easy for the audience to understand what they're trying to convey.

Performance Based

This is basically when the singer lip syncs in the actual music video. There are a lot of close-up shots of the singer or the band performing. There are no story lines in this category.

Conceptual Based

This is a style of a music video that is based around a concept or an idea. They have a particular editing or a filming technique they use it to make it different freom other two

Plot

Is basically the main events of a music video, play, movies etc, put together by the writer as an interrelated sequence.

Pop music usuallay has two or more plots combined, one could be love, another could be the heartbreak while another could take on the social issue.

In 'Love', the music video tries to portray the relation they have whether it's tragic, forbidden or abusive, their love story has a crisis such as girls/boys parents' objection or it could be the girls/boys class/standard diffrences which maybe the problem or in the end they've had a break-up or something similar.

Another type of plot usually is the one that is also part of 'Love', but not for humans but for a place. The music video revolves around a specific place, how the people are dressed. It primarily shows their culture and tradition of people for instance, the Street Dancers have their own style and fashion trends aswell as their style of dancing and different taste in music
