Advantages
-
A deck (presentation) can be embedded into several sections of the same course. Editing the one deck updates all your sections simultaneously.
- You can present your content directly from DC Connect, as I am doing here. Students remain within the learning environment when reviewing content.
- Accessible from any device connected to the internet (seriously, type in https://slides.com/brettclayton/slides-com into your phone's browser and take a look) .
- Base plan is free.
You Can: link to other resources
You Can: Include a background image
YOU CAN: INCLUDE A BACKGROUND IMAGE
You can: Animate your bullet points
Disadvantages
- Free plan is limited (e.g. a deck cannot be exported to a handout format for students to download and view offline).
- Content cannot be imported from publisher resources or existing PPT files.
