Why Have I Chosen This Leader?

Martin Luther King Jr was is an inspiration to many African American people. His courage and determination played a huge role in the civil rights movement that took place in the United States of America during the 1950's. His goal was to end racial segregation and discrimination against  African American people.

Three qualities/traits they display to show why they are a leader:

Confident

- Although there were days where i'm sure MLK wanted to end his attempt to gain equal rights, he kept his head up and looked at the bigger picture that the future may hold and continued to believe and have confidence in what he was doing.

Commitment

MLK was a preacher and had a family. Although he had other responsibilities he devoted majority of his time into peacefully protesting for the equalization in rights for African American people.

Communication

MLK was clearly able to communicate to his message  and beliefs to his supporters so that everyone was on the same page about how they are going to go forward with the deliverance of their message through protesting.

Democratic

MLK was a Democratic leader, he valued the opinions of others and allowed them to have say in the decision making process. This worked well because if he hadn't put fourth strict grounds on how the supporters should carry themselves while protesting i'm sure that the whole thing would've been a mess and spiraled out of control. It may not have ended with a positive outcome like the one MLK had strategically organized.
