What is electron?

• the chromium v8 (js) engine
• node.js
• combined into an executable desktop app

Why electron?

• Because it's a desktop app us front end guys can build incredibly easily that is cross platform and can be bundled up to run as a .exe (windows) or .app (OS X or macOS if you're me)
• Everyone Loves Node

What did I do?

• Put DLS into a desktop app
• DUH!
• You can run it with
  • start \\uShip-fs\share\bryson\DLS\DLS.exe

• In app upgrading
