In what ways does your Media product use , develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?
Conventions of film opening
The use of a film opening is to show action at the start of the film to gain viewer interest so that they can get an initial attraction/hook into the film. A film opening will make sure that it clearly states the genre of the film and also catch a glimpse of either antagonist or protagonist.
title sequences
The title of any movie will always appear in the opening sequence, allowing the audience to know what they are about to watch. The opening scene of a movie will always have music suited to the theme of the movie, that helps to either build tension or a sense of atmosphere of the first scene. It also gives an idea to the audience to what might occur next in the movie.

Following conventions in our film opening
For the title of our film opening, I came up with the name 'Demise' which relates to a persons death and at the end of our teen film opening, the main character unfortunately dies. The settings we used in our teen film opening corresponds to scenes seen in other teen films, areas we used included: bathroom, on the way to college, in and around the college and the canteen. Some of the camera used included a range of close-ups, mid-shots, over the shoulder and some establishing shots. Editing was through Final cut pro and we edited it in a way to show snap shots of the events occurring in a day of the main character who gets bullied. The genre of the film and the content suggests that it is about bullying, victimization and suicide.
Following conventions continued
The main character is introduced in the first when when tripping over on the stair towards the college gates. The main character is introduced this way to show how not exciting she feels to attend college the fact that she feels somewhat depressed. The antagonist could be referred to the rest of the characters in the film as they helped to make her feel unwanted and useless in the film which also included server bullying.
