A basic creation-first note taking app.
Sometimes you have these random thoughts that are too good/bad for Twitter. I wanted to write them somewhere but most Notes apps shove your old notes in your face first.
So I built SHOTES - digital equivalent of a pocket diary - meant for creation first.
It's a bit scrappy because it's my first iOS project. WIP.

Reactivation
At Awaaz, as a news platform, we wanted to do push notifications responsibly.
No sensationalism. Editorial. Relevant.
We were operational in 80 cities and each city had its own unique weird behavior.
After slicing & dicing huge amount of data, we made our systems robust enough that we could predict "how many users in Agra will click this notification about this crime in their city, reported by this reporter if we send it between 9-10 PM"
1 in 100 users were clicking our notification for each campaign. Notification's contribution to DAU and Retention STONKED.
Finally, once optimised, we streamlined a bunch of processes and automated a lot of stuff so that our notification guy could chill out a little.
Analytics at Awaaz and Loco
Had the pleasure of being the data guy and analytics architect at both these companies.
Architected the app analytics from scratch.
Focus points:
Exhaustive: Query whatever.
Elegant: Easy to follow.
Economic: Minimum events.
Energy: Don't bore the devs.
A dive into how Streaks feature is more than just a gamification of chat and how it contributes to human progress. Big words, I know.
With a good likelihood of disagreement and debate, here's my case against aptitude tests.
My take on how Twitter could implement an edit feature.
(Update: I don't agree with myself anymore)
Facebook can’t hold 2 billion users without turning into a mess but Snapchat can.
