Taking the STAR Test

1. Open Classroom and click on the link posted.

2. Use this login info:
    

   Username: Your email, but stop before the @ sign

   • (e.x. hesslc@ danbury.k12.ct.us)

       Password: Your student number (The 10-digit one)

The monitor password is admin

After you finish taking STAR, follow the link on Classroom to learn about annotated bibliographies. Then start working on your annotated bibliography.

Presentation Project

• In groups of 3, research one of the topic clusters to the right

• You will deliver a 10-15 minute presentation to your peers, who will take notes
   

• You will be graded based on:
   

  • Quality of the slides

  • Quality of the presentation skills

  • Quality of the research

  • Quality of the insights you make

Presentation Project

• Once you have your group of 3 AND the topic cluster you want, let me know.

• I will cross out the topic cluster up here. Anything that is crossed out cannot be chosen by another group. (No duplicates.)

• You should then begin collecting research and sources in a Google Doc on the following:
   

  • What is it?

  • When was it relevant/when did it occur?

  • What additional context do we need to know about it?

  • How do the topics within the cluster relate to each other?

  • How does it relate to our unit’s text, Lord of the Flies?
