How did you use media technologies in these consruction, research,planning and evaluation?
Throughout this whole project we have used a wide range of technologies to helps us with our research, planning and construction.
Filming
Filming equipment-
JVC, Nikon SLR, Flip Cam
Whilst we we're filming we used a range of equipment. From the JVC camera, flip cams, memory card, lighting and speakers. All of these equipment the main source to our filming production. The camera use to film the footage was a JVC, we also used a nikon SLR to take pictures, memory cards to save the footage one, flip cam record and vlogs that we filmed
Editing
Photoshop
Photoshop was my main form of software to creat my digipack. Through the software I use the required template that was given to apply my images onto it. As you can see form the screen shot my images have neen edited to a multiple expsourse effect. The way I have done this is duplicated each layer and then for each layer changed the opacity. After that done I then shifted each layer to either a left or right direction, this then create a blurred 3d effect. To show a continous synergy through the whole digpak I have added this effect with all the other photos that I've chose for the digipack.
VSCO (moblie app)
VSCO is a photo editing moblie app, this was also one of the main source of editing software that I used to edit my images. The main reason why I use VSCO was because it had a series of filters which you can apply to your chosen photos. When I tried to use the filters that photoshop have, I wasn't satisfied with what they had, I felt that it was very amature looking and didn't fit in with my theme of how I wanted my digipack to be like.
Some of the features that VSCO have are a temperture,contrast exposure tool, a cropping tool and also a sharpening tool.
Final Cut Pro
Final Cut Pro was one of the most important technology that we used. We used final cut to edit all of our footage together but also to add effects. Final cut was very difficult to use as first espcailly since I didn't have much experience with it but as a group each of us had a basic understanding of it which allowe us to all work together edit out final product. We also used a colour corrector tool on FCP which allowed use to have a black and white effect for the course but isolate out colour specifcally from the smoke grenade that we used.
Camtasia
As a way to evaluate my work I use camtasia to be able to record and explain as the same time. Through camtasia I was able to record a certain type of video that I want to talk about. Camtssia also allowed you to imput any text or effects to make your presentaion more intresting

Blogger

iPhone/Whatsapp
My phone played a massive part of this project, it allowed me to contact my members, make any instant research need, take pictures and videos. I also use it to blogg as I was able to download blogger's app from the App store. Whatsapp was our main source to contact each other. We created a group chat and this allowed us to keep ourselves updated with any outside of lessons.
Instagram & Twitter
We used Instagram and Twitter as a way to promote Yasmin during the project. Instagram and Twitter has become one the most popular socialising platforms uses by everyone globally. This was a form of our promotion and marketing for Yasmin Ally
Hotmail
Hotmail, a emailing platform was used excessively through the whole project. I use it to send images, contact other business so that I a studio space was available for us to film in.
Research
Youtube
Youtube was use greatly to allow us to research about about other music videos. Through youtube we was able to search for specific types of videos that we want research about, but because it was so easily accessible we were able to directly present the video as part of our pitch or any recording work that we were assigned to do
Google was the basis for whenever we began to research about something. As Google is a search engine I was able to provide us with all the research that we needed. We use google to search about where to book studios, where to find certain objects such as smoke grenades.
Studio Research
The three main website that we use to find our studio was
studiospace, work-ratestudio which ended up being the studio we use to film at. We had to narrow it down to which was set in the best locations, beast price range and space they could provide for us.
Smoke Grenades
I came across the smoke grenades through Instagram and with the help of google I was able to track down a shop in Camden which sold the smoke grenades. I search for a website (woldfarmouries) and found our location that they were at.
