Little bits about me:
I’ve been a loyal Young Living member for about 4 years, but an “oiler” for much longer. I’m a wife of 5 years, and we have 2 fur-babies: 1 husky/shepherd rescue, & 1 lab/mix puppy #theyarewhyIneedoils. I'm a first grade teacher to 20+ amazing kiddos each year in a small rural town with lots of needs but tons of love. #theyarewhyIneedNingxiaRed Before I made the switch to Young Living, I was living off 24oz of coffee & 2 liter of Big Red a day to keep up with life; and sleeping a max of 3-4 hours a night due to all the stress. I had watched oils help my dad through some pretty tough health stuff & knew they were valuable to have around….
After I switched to Young Living, I began to learn these little bottles of magic juice could do a whole lot more when they were kept pure from plant to bottle! I also started to realize that it was pretty nuts for me to keep using gunk in my daily life and then soak in the oils to try and build my body back up.

I was able to drastically improve my quality of life as a wife, dog-mom, teacher, AND I now had the energy & focus to get things done so I could have time for family/friends again.
Hidden in Plain Sight
Cleaning our homes, workplaces, schools, and healthcare places is essential to protecting our health; but are you aware of all the potentially harmful toxins hidden in the household and cleaning products being used to protect us? Soaps, polishes, cleaners, etc often include harmful chemicals or properties that disrupt hormone balance, compromise the immune system, or even lead to disease/cancer. Even products advertised/labeled as “green” or “natural” may contain similar ingredients. Some supplies can even be flammable or corrosive!
Manufacturers are not obligated by U.S. law to list all the ingredients in their products. The American Lung Association suggests researching all cleaning supplies extensively first and offers some resources. (Click the links below for more info.)
Check out the picture for a visual of where toxins in your home could be hiding in plain sight. I also like to use www.ewg.org or the Think Dirty app on my phone to scan products and quickly pick out products in-store that could be safe, or need more research before bringing home.

I typically use a regular 14.4oz bottle once a year for my home bottle, and once every 6 months in my classroom! I also ❤ the bottles they come in! After I empty a bottle of THC, I switch out the lid of the old bottle with a spray nozzle from the dollar store, and recycle it into an extra spray bottle that is husband/dog proof from breaking! 😂😆😁

I got you! I am that person too! In fact, I was using sanitizer so often that my doctor told me she expected me to lose my fingerprints from the high alcohol content of that stuff within 5 years or less 😲😳😱
There’s a better, SAFER option, ya’ll! You can still be on-the-go and stay germ-safe! My 3 favorite go-to’s are: Thieves Hand Sanitizer, Thieves Spray, and Thieves Wipes. All of these products are made for busy people!
Thieves Wipes come in handy for mommas, teachers, & care-takers who like to wipe down all the surfaces before little hands touch the unknowns; think: changing tables, fast food counters/booth seats, picnic tables, toilet seats! The Thieves spray is nearly the same size as the sanitizer pocket bottle and does ALL the cool things that THC does, in a Best-Friend-size! I’m sure I don’t even need to tell my fellow travel junkies what that means…
Healthy Hands
Keeping our hands clean is one of the most important, but simplest things we can do to prevent getting sick and/or spreading germs to others. Many diseases & conditions in history were significantly affected or nearly eradicated by educating the public on proper hygiene & (correct) cleanliness. People often think of “bathroom germs” and associate washing hands with using the bathroom; but germs also spread in less obvious ways:
🔬handling raw meat
🔬touching an item that was sneezed/coughed on
🔬rubbing/touching eyes, nose, or mouth after touching a germ
🔬germs can get into foods & drinks AND multiply then be consumed
🔬germs are often found on (& transferred by) handrails, table tops, toys, pens/pencils, etc
How can you protect your home?
Wash your hands with soap & water! Teach your children the correct way to wash their hands, to form lasting clean-habits. If you cannot wash them with soap & water, use effective hand sanitizer.
Thieves Foaming Hand Soap is one of my favorite soaps to use with my family & students! Kids L O V E foaming soap!😆 I teach my kiddos the rhyme “Just a dot, not a lot!” because about ½ of a pump of Thieves Foaming Hand Soap looks like a big dot in their hands.
How to correctly wash your hands:
1. Wet hands with clean, running water (warm or cold).
2. Lather well with soap, checking between fingers, backs of hands, and under nails.
3. Scrub hands for at least 20 seconds (think the Happy Birthday song x2)
4. Rinse well under running water.
5. Dry hands well. (Germs can be easily transferred to/by wet hands, as well!)
Thieves Hand Sanitizer is a MUST for anyone! Store bought sanitizers have anywhere from 50-90% alcohol in them. That is sufficient enough to cause alcohol poisoning when ingested… especially in kids! Thieves sanitizer is safe to use on kids (and adults) due to the Peppermint that denatures the alcohol (which means: NO alcohol poisoning!) It also contains a generous amount of aloe to lock in moisture and combat the dryness that alcohol causes to skin.
Thieves Hand Sanitizer comes in a cute little pocket size that you can fit in a chapstick keychain, or all those places you keep an extra chapstick #youknowwhatImean. Need to refill? Buy a large house-sized bottle with a pump & refill all those pocket sized bottles instead of throwing them away.

Clean Laundry
Did you know your body has to digest everything you put on your SKIN?
Yep.
Your liver processes it all the same way it processes food. Now think back to those neat apps I shared with you and scan all the products that you use to do laundry. 👀 Eye-opener!

Stain “Stick” Roll On Recipe:
Using a 30ml roller, combine a capful of THC, equal parts Thieves Laundry Soap, 10 drops of Lemon essential oil, & 5 drops of Thieves essential oil. Shake well before each use. After washing, Hand out to dry in the sun to allow further “sun bleaching”.
Ready to dry those clothes? Dryer Sheets = Wool Dryer Balls
That’s not even the best part ya’ll… You can change the scent to WHATEVER you want, whenever you want!!! I typically toss in 4-6 dryer balls with every load I do and load those babies up with drops of oils with every 2 loads. I like the scent to be strong! Usually, I add oils to half the balls each load, and then I never have to “refill” the balls all at once. I like to think about the seasons when I drop in oils, so for Summer, I am soaking those babies in all the Citronella & Lemongrass I can get my hands on! During the Spring, I like to add the Spring Trio of Lavender, Peppermint, and Eucalyptus. Thieves is perfect for Fall or Winter!

Clean Kitchen
Remember all those germs we talked about? The kitchen LOVES them. 😬
When washing the dishes, cleaning the counter tops/floors of food prep, what you choose to use is important in keeping a clean, healthy environment.
Thieves Dish Soap is made from naturally derived ingredients using biodegradable materials, just like that trusty THC we talked about! One thing you will notice, though: it does not produce as many suds. That does NOT mean it’s less effective! Have you ever wondered why natural soaps don’t produce as many of those cleaning suds? Google it! You’d be surprised. I’ll also drop a link for ya at the bottom 😉
Basic point: more suds = more soap WASTED.
Where all my Dishwasher Fans at???
Thieves cleaning power also comes in handy Automatic Dishwasher Powder! Again, super concentrated & powerful! I like to keep it in a food-safe jar under my sink so the tight seal won’t allow in moisture. It comes with a handy scoop, premeasured for you! I prefer to use a whole scoop with each load, but I know tons of people who dilute or use half a scoop instead.
Clean Fruits & Veggies
Healthy snacks on fruits/veggies is 1 part of a healthy lifestyle, but making sure they are clean is really important.
I am pretty picky when it comes to where I purchase my produce, and what kind I pick out. It never ceases to amaze me how many fruits/veggies are still covered in a filmy wax, no matter how "safe" I try to be while buying!
Thieves Fruit & Veggie Wash and Thieves Fruit & Veggie Spray both come in handy while cleaning up snacks or prepping for a family meal. I love how quick and easy they are to use! Clean & Healthy Mouths
Oral health contributes to our bodies' overall health, but is often taken for granted. Our mouth is a window into the health of your body. It accepts food to be transferred into nutrients, and is exposed immediately to many hidden toxins in products like toothpastes, mouthwashes, etc. When properly taken care of, your mouth can serve as a warning light; it can show signs of nutritional deficiencies or general infection. Systemic diseases, those that affect the entire body, may first become apparent because of mouth sores or other oral problems.
Young Living offers several different toothpaste options that are toxin free - for both adults and children. When I first made the switch, it was not an easy one... The taste of the Aromabright was too much Thieves taste for a person like me who doesn't enjoy much cinnamon.😂 I switched it up the next time and was good for several months.
Fast forward to summer break when I am packing for vacation: I packed a mini tooth paste from the grocery store. 1st day of vacation I am brushing my teeth and my mouth is on fire! Who would've known that all those toxins my mouth had been skipping for several months would make such a fuss the moment I let them back in my mouth?! Clean & Healthy Throats
During seasonal changes, life can be hard on our throats. Germs and seasonal yuck can often get in there and cause all sorts of discomfort!
Thieves Hard Lozenges are considered a dietary supplement and the Thieves Vitality & other oils and ingredients work as an amazing support/boost for your immune system! I keep a bag or 2 in my classroom all year round. When I hear the first sniffle or cough, I reach for one to suck on! I like to think I am building up a little bubble around myself while I keep working around all the potential germs😆

Young Living has SO MANY options for you to buy pre-made when it comes to personal care! They make it easy for us to ditch the junk and switch to a healthier option. But don't forget, these shower gels and shampoo/conditioners are highly concentrated!
When I first switched out my shampoo and conditioner, I thought something was wrong with my hair! I knew that other YL products needed to be diluted, but it never occurred to me that the reason my hair was always so greasy was because I was putting WAY too much on!!! Now when I get a new bottle of Shampoo, I squirt 1/3rd into an old empty bottle and fill the rest of the old bottle with water. For my conditioner, I do 1/2 with water. My wavy hair loves the extra moisture!
My favorite shampoo/conditioner to get is the Copaiba pair because I like to add Lime to make it into the Stress Away blend 🤣

Healthy Kids
Young Living understands that children's bodies are still developing and can be sensitive to certain ingredients, compared to adult bodies which have fully developed immunities. Healthy Pets
This one is close to my heart, folks. Pets are a HUGE part of our family and we have had anywhere from 1 to 5 at anytime in our marriage! A few years ago, we adopted Ranger (our husky/shepherd mix) from a shelter in the middle of Kentucky who was so kind enough to tell us (as we are signing the papers) that they were sure getting him fixed would help, but we should probably know that it took at least 6 weeks to catch him out in the wild and they aren't too sure about how much family-life he had at that point. . .
Fast forward just one month later and he had managed to eat a box of crayons, the arm off my couch, underwear, shoes, and a bag of chocolate! He was invincible! I NEEDED HELP !!! Soon after that, a friend of a friend had gifted me the AMAZING Animal Scents oils line and I praise God that woman helped me stay a Christian lady🤣😂 Immediately I wanted ALL the animal products, and we even use some on ourselves! That animal scents ointment is awesome for bumps & scrapes on people & animals!
Ranger still gets Paragize everyday and we use the ointment on him every time he runs past the tree too fast and scrapes up his side. He is definitely our wild-child, but YL Animal Scents helps calm, clean, and provide sanity on a daily basis.🥰🐶
