In terms of genre, there is a large amount of music videos that follow the same storyline, although it is usually positive. This can be seen in Taylor Swift's You Belong With Me, where Taylor plays a girl who's in love with a boy, and the storyline is generic, and against all odds, wins the heart of her love interest. The original song of Requiem has a storyline where the boy (like in our storyline) slowly loses the girl (as opposed to ours, where he immediately loses her and without reason)
