YouTube Channel

CODIE PIE

Many programmers tend to have a small group of friends and some like my former self, near to none. During my past years, those that crossed my path would identify me as a loner, hermit, rock, white marlin, wolverine ( not the cool one ), mountain weasel, and so on. It didn't affect me until I realized how many birthdays I spent alone. Most all my friends I ever made are now dead. I was always more comfortable making friends with old people. Somehow that made me feel grounded and productive.

One great friend, you can look up is Theodore Charach. He taught me humility, character, unexpected humor, persistence, and investigative journalism. He literally was a one-man army when it came to delivering the truth. Which brings me to the point of this channel.

The truth I want to deliver is the lack of a healthy life-style for programmers today, something that most of us all forget and place last on our priority list because we have so much on our plate of codes. Just like our involuntary bodily functions, we must mentally create homeostasis with our workflow or our hearts will suffer. The point of this channel is to bring me and my community of fellow coders health conscious accountability, solutions, and partnership when coding.

What's the point of business success if your health is spiraling in a downward motion?

SUMMARY

There are very few ASMRists that have increased my productivity and peace of mind while programming. One that stands out and is a pioneer on many levels is SpringBok ASMR. She not only has a memorable presence and soft unique angelic voice but she's the first to disclose her connection and advocacy for mental health. This is very close and dear to me as I have a personal tie to the mental health community and run a non-profit organization called the Painted Brain with my partner Dave Leon. I believe Springbok ASMR's videos syncopate with my thought process and encourage focus and mental lightness thanks to all the tingles she delivers :) .

A huge part of my channel will be addressing health conscious solutions to programmers like myself and ASMR is medicine for the mind no doubt, works better than any pharmaceutical drug you can find off the counter. I will promote and credit SpringBok ASMR channel for being the gateway to a life changing mental state of productivity and joy.

ASMR

In the beginning I will experiment with some simple concepts and maybe just focus on introducing myself to the YouTube community and get their feedback on direction and interest (a great suggestion from Springbok ASMR). I will touch on subjects that interest me and see if the audience would like me to focus on them. I won't be doing ASMR but rather a programmer buddy, good for studying, working, and accountability. We may together listen to Springbok ASMR (possibly we can collaborate on a video specific to programmers needs) and then turn the audio on and reference your link to hear the rest while I'm on the other window working so both videos are simultaneously playing? Or not, I can have them go to your channel once my points are made).

There will be community members that will want to learn programming, there I will personalize and address coding tips and tutorials for their support and general needs.

As for accountability, I will have members take walks with me and keep them inline with productivity and physical health.
